This website’s purpose is to provide the parties, counsel, and the public with current information, including Orders, schedules, and important documents, in the Lyft Sexual Assault Multi-District Litigation (‘MDL’) 3171, IN RE: LYFT, INC. PASSENGER SEXUAL ASSAULT LITIGATION, before Judge Rita F. Lin in the United States District Court for the Northern District of California San Francisco Division. It will be updated regularly by the Court-appointed plaintiffs’ leadership.
On March 26, 2026, the Court appointed Roopal P. Luhana of Chaffin Luhana, Aimee H. Wagstaff of Wagstaff Law Firm, and Rachel Abrams of Peiffer Wolf Carr Kane Conway & Wise, LLP as Plaintiffs’ Co-Lead Counsel (PTO No. 2).

On May 8, 2026 Plaintiffs’ Co-Lead Counsel and the Plaintiffs’ Steering Committee filed the Master Long-Form Complaint.
On June 8, 2026, the Court approved a template Short-Form Complaint (“SFC”) through Pretrial Order No.15. The SFC is an abbreviated form that each individual Plaintiff will complete to indicate their individual claims, adopt the factual allegations set forth in the Master Complaint as the basis for those claims, and provide additional factual allegations. Any future Plaintiff may file a SFC directly into the MDL pursuant to Pretrial Order No. 3. The template SFC is available here.
